The Georgetown Life

Georgetown, TX is one of those sweet Texas towns that you’ll never want to leave once you’ve visited. Perhaps that’s why Southern Living magazine has named Georgetown as the South’s #1 Place to Live, the #12 Most Beautiful Southern City, and the 4th Most Affordable Southern City. And, according to Census records in May 2018, Georgetown is considered the 6th fastest growing city in the United States in 2016-2017. That’s an incredible statistic for a small, college town in the heart of Texas.

Why is Georgetown at the top of the lists recently? Well, take into consideration its close proximity to Austin. You’re only 30 minutes to Austin, which makes commuting to/from downtown Austin pretty convenient. Or, consider that Georgetown is still a very small town in attitude and appearance. However, there is enough to stay busy in Georgetown without having to leave town. Check out the numerous activities available in this quaint city:

You’ll find lots of shopping opportunities at Wolf Ranch, numerous day spas for those days you need pampering, fabulous local eateries, coffee shops, and more.

Georgetown is a great community for singles, empty nesters, and families.

Neighborhoods are aplenty in every price range, including but not limited to:

  • Serenada
  • Fountainwood
  • Sun City (for 55+)
  • The Village
  • Berry Creek
  • Lakewood Estates
  • Wood Lake
  • Briarwood
  • Orchard Ridge
  • Katy Crossing
  • and many more!

Two huge community events are the Red Poppy Fest the last weekend in April and the Christmas Stroll the first weekend in December.

Come on out to Georgetown and stay awhile. You’re going to love it.
